Operating expenses divided by total revenues. Total revenues include net interest income, net fee and commission income, trading profit and the balance of other income/expenses. The cost/income ratio indicates the percentage of total revenues which is absorbed by operating expenses. It provides information on cost management and cost efficiency. The lower the ratio, the more efficiently the company operates.
