Strong profit growth, even adjusted for one-off effects

On balance, the one-off effects explained above increased the profit before tax for 2006 by a total of € 1,758 m. Adjusted for this amount, Bank Austria Creditanstalt’s profit before tax for 2006 reached a record level of € 1,514 m; this is an increase of € 263 m or 21 % over the equally adjusted figure for the previous year. Adjusted consolidated profit was € 1,119 m, up by 22 % from 2005 (also on an adjusted basis).
